Bicentenaire de la faïencerie de Gien
La Poste émet un timbre pour le bicentenaire de la Faïencerie de Gien, entreprise du patrimoine industriel français.
Depuis sa création en 1821 par le Franco-Anglais Thomas Hall, la Faïencerie de Gien n’a cessé de se développer en innovant et en sublimant la matière faïence. Gien a su s’inventer au travers de la fabrication d’éléments d’arts de la table, de faïences décoratives et de pièces monumentales. Elle a personnalisé des services de table pour les cours princières, les grandes familles d’Europe. Elle s’est aussi invitée dans les couloirs du métro parisien en fabriquant des carreaux.
