Le Palais Brongniart + Congrès de la FFAP
La Poste émet un timbre illustré par le palais Brongniart avec une vignette attenante à l’effigie de l’allégorie de la justice à l’occasion du 97ème congrès de la FFAP.
Le palais Brongniart est un édifice voulu par Napoléon pour être le siège de la Bourse de Paris, créée à l’origine par Louis XV en 1724. Il fut commandé en 1807 à l’architecte Alexandre-Théodore Brongniart alors au sommet de sa carrière. L’Empereur le souhaitait simple et beau comme un temple grec. Pour le mettre en valeur, on décida de le construire à l’emplacement d’un couvent allant de la rue Saint Augustin à la rue Feydeau, dans le quartier des affaires. De 1826, année de son inauguration, à 1998, le palais Brongniart a abrité la Bourse de Paris, ainsi que le Tribunal de commerce, ce jusqu’en 1864.
